The daughter of my self sim and my Chris Evans sim, Michelle. She’s so pretty *___*

i went through my back-up files and found diana’s sim file. i can import her into my game and carry on the legacy; she’ll look different due to my new skins, new hairstyles, et cetera, but i can resurrect her and carry on the lilleys until its 10th generation.

but my question is: would anyone care enough?

i know the whole point of having a simblr is to do it for yourself and have your own fun and not care about what other people think,  but to be perfectly honest: it’s annoying playing your legacy and taking screenshots and creating a storyline just to feel like nobody reads it. so if i really don’t have a lot of people who read the legacy, i won’t bother trying to continue it.

if you read the lilleys i implore you to speak up. just a simple “i read it” in a reply to this post or my ask, or something. if people want them back, i’ll do it.

due to not only a lack of contingency planning for the legacy but also because of borked cc and corrupted files, i’m ending the lilley legacy early. i’m also saving four sims i’ve created and deleting everything else. everything. every piece of custom content i have, every sim i’ve downloaded from other people, everything except for things i’ve downloaded from the sims store. 

i’ve tried removing corrupted files and cleaning up my custom content, but it’s just too confusing and too much effort.  and anyone who follows my simblr knows that i’ve been debating a custom content purge for a while. i think it’s become a necessary decision. however, i’m not dumb: i’ve made several copies of all of my CC and sim files and they’re all buried throughout my computer in case i make a horrible mistake and need to have a backup plan to my backup plan. 

there are some pieces of cc i loved that i don’t remember who made, but i’m sure i’ll find them again some day. i’m not leaving simblr or deleting & never posting photos again.  i’m just taking some time to download new custom content, make new sims, and organize my cc better than i did as a sims newbie months ago. this process could take days or it could take a few hours; i’m going to be up until 3am, so i have a while to sort things out. 

i don’t think anyone followed the lilleys religiously, so hopefully nobody is upset. the last few posts of the legacy were not foreshadowing the end of it; it was supposed to be a plot that took a darker turn following the scenes you can see on my blog right now. the timing was just off, unfortunately. :c BUT..my remade versions of alton and miranda are actually two of the four sims i’m saving, so you never know- maybe i can reboot the legacy but with a less annoying surname. :D

i promise i’m not leaving simblr, so hang in there, friends of mine. ♥

“i love you, i really do, stefan. just ignore my mother. she’s too old to recognize what young love is anymore.”

“we don’t need her, or the rest of your family. we can have our own one day and be perfectly fine.”

“so, tell me more about this ‘amazing’ boy you’ve been hush-hush about for weeks now. does he have a job? is he in school? any life plans?”

“well, not exactly, but he’s-“

“what do you mean ‘not exactly?’ he’s almost twenty six with no job or degree?”

“why does it matter, mom? not everyone can be a superstar athlete like dad.”

“that’s correct, but everyone should have a life plan in order to survive. this guy is living with you and eating your food, using your heat and water, and not giving a single cent toward the bills?”

“it isn’t like i’m dirt poor. i have my share of the family fortune, i can take care of all these things on my own. stefan takes me out all the time to restaurants and movies, he has his own money. i wouldn’t be planning a wedding to him if he didn’t.”

“i…”

“spit it out.”

“i think he’s just after the family fortune. honestly. and i also think- no, i know you’re making a huge mistake by even considering marriage to this lowlife.”

“YOU HAVEN’T EVEN MET HIM! you’re the one who had a baby at sixteen and couldn’t finish high school. dad made most of the money in our house, so you’re really one to talk. all you ever did was sell a few paintings and work part time at dive bars. you’re really someone to look up to, aren’t you? stay out of my fucking business with stefan. we don’t need you.” 

my sim making style has changed since i began playing sims 3 in october, so i gave alton and miranda (my lilley legacy founders) makeovers! i think they look a lot cuter now.
